Judge Thomas E. Malone, a Wichita native, received a bachelor's degree from Newman University in Wichita and a law degree from Washburn University School of Law. After a 12-year career in private practice in Wichita, he was elected a Sedgwick County district judge in 1990. He was appointed to the Court of Appeals in 2003.
